EuroDEM is an off-the-shelf product, exclusive to NPA, providing
elevation coverage for most of Europe.
NPA use powerful software to automatically digitise contours
from topographic maps. The procedure dramatically reduces operator
time and therefore DEMs can be produced very cost effecively.
We also use software to auto-correlate stereo satellite imagery,
optical or radar, or aerial photography, enabling DEMs to be
generated for any part of the world.
Digital Terrain Models (DTMs)
Representations of digital elevation data can be greatly improved
visually by draping satellite imagery over the terrain, creating
realistic 3-D views. NPA can also create 3-D views and fly-throughs
for in-flight entertainment, news clips, computer games and
simulations, and many other applications. These scenes were
created using the 3D generator in TNTmips software.
Impressive
3D-views can also be generated using World Construction Set
software, and the Original Desktop Mapping System.
