The
image shows the massive Kabir-Kuh anticline, which extends
for over 120 km along strike. The light blue units are
the evaporites of the Miocene Gachsaran Formation. The
folds are 'detachment-folds' that have decolled along
the Gachsaran Fm. Crosscutting normal faults and fractures
are also clearly visible. The Mountain Front Fault (MFF)
is the SW limit of the Lurestan Foldbelt |
